Hand-crafted New Zealand made chalkboards. Each chalkboard product bears the signature 'The Chalkboard Company' brass badge branding. Custom designs and commercial products are also available.
Three standard chalkboard Size options are available:
Small Mitre (630mm x 420mm)
Medium Mitre (825mm x 635mm) & Medium Ledger (900mm x 630mm)
Large Mitre (1245mm x 830mm) & Large Ledger (1340mm x 825mm)
Note: The width dimension of the Ledger boards is the width of the top and bottom rails.
The Chalkboard Company can also manufacture Extra Large chalkboards (1240 x 1640mm). These are made to order so please Contact Us for options and pricing. If you are after a specific size or something even smaller/larger then please Contact Us.

All frames are made from clears dressed Radiata Pine. If these aren't quite the style that you're after then please Contact Us.
Four chalkboard Frame Finish options are available:
The Chalkboard Company has access to all Resene products and can source alternative timbers if required. If you have a specific Frame Finish in mind then please Contact Us.
As well as painted surfaces, The Chalkboard Company also offers black chalkboard vinyl as a surface option for all framed boards (chalkboards, sandwich boards etc). This meets the needs of those who will be principally using wet-wipe markers. The latter are able to be used on painted chalkboard surfaces however when left on for any length of time, can be difficult to totally remove - leaving a shadow on the board surface. Wet-wipe markers can be removed totally from chalk-vinyl surfaces with a damp cloth. If you are interested in a chalkboard vinyl surface, please email through an enquiry or give us a call and we will be able to price this option for you. If you are intending to use chalk only then the best surface for you is a painted surface.
